The dry season of July through October is the best time of year for the greatest overall concentrations of game in this park when wildlife congregates around the lakes. Nyerere is quite safe to visit. Crime against visitors is rare in Tanzania and the little crime that does occur mostly happens in major urban centers, similar to the rest of the world.
